Using Busy Lamp Fields, Call Pickup, and Speed Dial on Linksys Phones With trixboxContrary to the instructions previously posted in the trixbox forums or in Linksys' own official documentation, this is how to make BLF (Busy Lamp Field), CP (Call Pickup), and SD (Speed Dial) work with trixbox. We are currently using version 2.6.1, but these instructions would theoretically work on anything using asterisk 1.4.
Use the same syntax as extended function to complete the fields in SPA932 tab. (Sorry, I don't have one, yet.) Here's what the finished product looks like (sorry, iPhone picutre). ![]() If you have any questions, feel free to post to our forums or use the Contact button above. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM A READER: Here is some additional information about this subject sent in by Matt Beebe from high-eng.com. Thanks, Matt!hey, I noticed one thing on your posting regarding call pickup and the SPA9x2 with BLF. If you use the *8 syntax, and set all phones into the same pickup group(s), it will work. HOWEVER, you are running the risk of picking up a different incoming call than you thought you were (it is indeterminate which call gets picked up). A better way is to set the call pickup to *8# on the SPA9x2, and it will then substitute the extension that your BLF button is subscribed to (ie: *8202), which implements the underlying "directed pickup" in asterisk. Then you add these lines into your extensions.conf: exten => _*8XXX,1,SET(GLOBAL(PICKUPMARK)=${EXTEN:2}) exten => _*8XXX,n,Pickup(${EXTEN:2}@PICKUPMARK) and you're good to go.
